“When the world starts spinning faster than your feet can follow,
don’t brace dance.”
The Story
I did not set out to draw this piece.
I was living it.
Life had thrown me into one of those seasons where nothing seemed stable.
Personal things falling apart.
Professional setbacks piling up.
That feeling where everything is out of your control, and the more you fight it, the more lost you feel.
One night, I sat down with my sketchbook not because I knew what I wanted to say, but because I did not.
And this figure began to emerge.
A body in motion.
Not standing firm.
Not running away.
But caught in the spin and moving with it.
And I realized: that is what I was trying to do too.
Not escape the chaos, not resist it but learn to move with it.
To dance in it.
Why It Exists
This piece exists because sometimes life is not about overcoming the storm.
Sometimes it is about learning how to move inside it.
We are taught to seek control, to crave certainty.
But life rarely gives us that.
And when the ground shifts beneath your feet you have two choices:
Freeze.
Or flow.
The Dance in Chaos is about choosing flow.
About trusting yourself to move through it, even if you do not know where the next step will land.
If you are in one of those seasons spinning, unsure, struggling.
I hope this piece reminds you:
You can still move. You can still create. You can still dance.
Artist’s Note
“It was made one when staying alive within feels more important than being a master in the world’s eye.”
There are days I still feel stuck in the spin.
But drawing this reminded me:
Motion matters more than perfection.
Grace is not about having all the answers.
It is about having the courage to move anyway.
If this piece finds you mid-chaos, I hope it offers you the same thing it gave me:
A little space.
A little breath.
A little reminder that movement is always possible even here, even now.
