Hidden Sight

Hidden Sight

“Sometimes we cover ourselves to protect what matters most.
Sometimes we cover ourselves to remember where we came from.”

The Story

I didn’t plan this piece.
I was sitting with a leaf in my hand, turning it over, tracing its edges and this thought came to me:

“How much of ourselves do we hide from the world? And how much do we hide from ourselves?”

That is where Hidden Sight began.
A man holding a leaf   covering most of his face, except for his eyes.
His gaze is clear, but what is behind the leaf stays unseen.

To me, that leaf became a symbol.
Of nature, yes   but also of protection.
Of the layers we build around us.
Of the parts of us that are connected to something much older and quieter than this loud world.

We are taught to always be visible, always be performing.
But sometimes the most honest thing we can do is to step back and cover what does not need to be exposed.
To remind ourselves that we are not separate from this earth we are of it.

Why It Exists

This piece exists because I have felt that tension in myself.
The pull between wanting to be seen and wanting to return to something deeper.
Something older than screens and noise and expectations.

Nature has always been that place for me.
When I walk in it, I feel like parts of me I forgot start to breathe again.
I remember that I am not above it I am part of it.
And that in nature, it is okay to be both hidden and present at once.

Hidden Sight is about that feeling.
It is about remembering where we come from.
It is about giving ourselves permission to cover, to protect, to stay connected even when the world asks us to constantly reveal.

Artist’s Note

” When the world felt too fast, and I needed to feel slow again.
That’s when I created this art “

This leaf became a shield, yes but also a bridge.
A way to say:

“I’m here, but I’m also something more than what you can see.”

If this piece reaches you, I hope it reminds you too:
It is okay to guard what matters.
It is okay to hold parts of yourself close.
And it is okay to find your roots in something bigger than yourself.

We do not have to be visible to be connected.
We just must be present.
